BUILDING PERMIT INFORMATION
IF YOU BUILD ANY STRUCTURE
OVER 200 SQ. FT. (small shed),
YOU MUST HAVE
AN APPROVED BUILDING PERMIT.

BUILDING PERMIT PROCESS:

1.) Submit the appropriate application to the City of Potlatch along with your construction plans.
​
2.) The City will then submit your application and plans to the City's Building Inspector at Latah County.
​
3.) Latah County Inspector will then review the application and building plans. If changes are needed, they will contact the name on the application. If they approves the application and the plans, you will pay the permit fee and City Hall will then issue you a Building Permit.
If you require extra telephone conversations with Latah County or site visits, you may be charged an extra $50.00 per hour.

Any structure that you build: decks, stairs, additions, garages, storage sheds over 200 sq. ft., remodeling inside your home, windows or roofs MUST have an approved building permit before anything can be constructed.

MECHANICAL permits still needs to get an electrical permit from the State, PLUMBING Permits, ELECTRICAL Permits
must be applied for through the
Idaho Division of Building Safety.
